Question 1

Do brown keycaps work well with a black keyboard case?

Accepted Answer

Brown keycaps pair well with black cases when the brown tones lean dark — espresso, walnut, or deep earth shades create a sophisticated contrast. Lighter beige or sandstone browns work better on silver, white, or wooden cases where the warmth can breathe.

Question 2

Do brown keycaps show fingerprints or dust easily?

Accepted Answer

Mid-range brown tones are among the most forgiving for fingerprints — darker browns hide oils better than white or light gray keycaps, while the natural, textured look of PBT means smudges are rarely noticeable. Dye-sublimated PBT, like the keycaps available through Yuzu, also resists shine over time.

Question 3

Can I get brown keycaps for a 65% or 75% keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Yuzu supports all standard keyboard sizes, including 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, and full-size, as well as split and ortholinear layouts. Every brown colorway is available across all supported layouts.

Question 4

Are brown keycaps available in PBT?

Accepted Answer

Yuzu produces all keycaps in dye-sublimated PBT, which is the material of choice for durability and texture. PBT resists shine and feels slightly matte underhand — well-suited to warm, natural color families like brown.

Question 5

What desk setups pair best with brown keycaps?

Accepted Answer

Brown keycaps complement natural materials like wood desk surfaces, leather mousepads, and linen desk mats especially well. They also work naturally on setups going for a vintage, retro, or cozy aesthetic — and hold their own in more minimal, neutral desk environments.

Question 6

Can I add custom legends to brown keycaps?

Accepted Answer

Yes — through Yuzu, you can fully customize the legends on any colorway, including font, language, and icon choices. This means you can take a colorway like Back to the Basics and add your own custom legends to match your layout or language.
