Expo is a keycap set inspired by mid-century modern graphic design. It features a custom designed font applied in a brutalist way across the keycaps. The design has been adapted for PFF and PBS, both phenomenal low profile keycap profiles. Due to how Yuzu works, certain layouts or languages might have their colors mixed up. You can easily correct this yourself, Starting at the top: R1 is supposed to be red, R2 white, R3 yellow and R4 blue.

Inspired by the realm of microbiology with hints of geometry, the mint and dark teal color palette evokes an organic, scientific laboratory feel. The special designs pay tribute to the fundamental building blocks of life, featuring geometric virus structures, DNA helices, and a dense cellular pattern on the spacebar.

I wanted this set to feel like a balance between calm and spark: something that doesn’t shout all the time, but knows when to stand out. The colours come from what I picture as a fox in winter: bright orange against quiet white, with the deep black of the board (if you use a black case) as the grounding shadow. It leans toward minimalism, but I didn’t want it to feel empty. Therefore, the icons and little details give it some life. For me, it’s a set that feels peaceful to work on, but every so often it catches my eye with a bit of boldness, and that’s exactly what I like about it.
