How Yuzu Orders Work
Yuzu keycaps are made to order. Your set goes through design, production, quality control, and a photo preview before it ever ships. This page walks through each stage so you know what to expect.
📦 Shipping information: Carriers, delivery times, tracking, and customs fees are covered on the Shipping page.
How an order works
- Design your set in the Playground app and place your order.
- Production starts the next working day. Printing takes 4 to 9 days for most orders.
- Preview photos are sent once your set has passed quality control. You'll get an email with a link, or you can find it anytime on your orders status page.
- Approve or flag issues. If something looks off, mark the affected keys and we'll reprint them and send a new preview. Once you approve, your order ships the next working day.
Production
Once payment is confirmed, your order enters the production queue. Printing takes 4 to 9 days in most cases. Your set is produced using dye-sublimation on PBT, a process where heat bonds dye directly into the plastic at a molecular level. The legends won't fade or wear off over time.
Because each set is printed individually rather than pulled from stock, your order is unique to your design. That also means changes become more difficult once production starts.
You can check current average print times and upcoming factory holidays on the status page, or track your specific order from your orders status page.
Photo preview and quality control
Before your order ships, we send you a photo preview of your finished keycaps. This is your chance to confirm everything looks right: legends, colors, layout.
We run two rounds of quality control before sending those photos. Dye-sublimation is a manual process, so minor imperfections can occasionally slip through. If you spot something off, flag it through the preview link and we'll reprint the affected keys and send a new preview before shipping.
Once you approve, your order ships the next working day.
Your preview photos and approval link are always available from your orders status page. No need to wait for the email if you can't find it.
Making changes after ordering
Before production starts, contact us as soon as possible at contact@yuzukeycaps.com with a link to your corrected design. We may be able to pause production and update your order, though this is not guaranteed.
After production has started (typically the next working day), changes to the full set are not possible. We can arrange a small add-on batch for the specific keys you need, usually between $10 and $30 depending on what's needed. Email us your order number and a list of the keys you want, including size and row number.
Triple-check your design before placing the order. Once production starts, fixing mistakes means ordering additional keys separately.
Cancellations and refunds
If production hasn't started: You can request a cancellation for a full refund. The factory typically begins work the next working day, so there is a narrow window to catch the order in time.
If production has already started: We can offer a 50% refund on the keycaps plus a full refund on shipping. This option is available up until your order ships.
If your order arrives with a problem caused by our production process, we'll replace the affected keys at no charge.

Payment
We accept credit card payments through Stripe. If the payment method you need isn't available, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
PayPal is not supported.
Bulk orders
We accept bulk orders of any size through the same Playground app used for standard orders. For orders of 300 keys or more, we offer complimentary design assistance. Send us your logo files (SVG preferred) and color preferences and we'll build the design for you to approve.
For large orders of 3,000 keys or more, custom pricing may be available. Email contact@yuzukeycaps.com with details about what you need.
