Question 1

Do orange keycaps work with a black keyboard case?

Accepted Answer

Yes — black cases are one of the best pairings for orange keycaps. The contrast is strong and clean, letting the orange read as bold and intentional rather than busy. Burnt orange and deep amber tones in particular look striking on matte or anodized black aluminum cases.

Question 2

What desk setups pair well with orange keycaps?

Accepted Answer

Orange keycaps complement warm, earthy desk setups particularly well — think wooden desk surfaces, cork mats, terracotta or clay accessories, and ambient warm lighting. They also work as a bold accent in darker, moodier setups with navy or charcoal tones, where the orange provides sharp visual contrast.

Question 3

Are orange keycaps available in PBT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At Yuzu, all keycaps are produced in dye-sublimated PBT, which means the orange tones are durable, resistant to shine, and won't fade with regular use. PBT also gives the keycaps a slightly textured surface that feels pleasant under the fingers.

Question 4

Can I get orange keycaps for a 65% or 75% keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Yuzu supports all major keyboard sizes including 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, full-size, Alice, and split layouts. You can customize your orange keycap set to match any layout precisely, including non-standard key sizes like 1.75u right shift.

Question 5

Will orange keycaps show fingerprints or dirt easily?

Accepted Answer

Mid-tone and darker orange shades — like burnt orange, terracotta, or amber — are relatively forgiving with fingerprints compared to very light or very dark colors. Yuzu's dye-sublimated PBT surface has a matte texture that minimizes the appearance of oils and smudges.

Question 6

Can I mix orange accent keys with a different base color?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is one of the most popular ways to use orange. Adding orange accent keycaps — like the Escape key, Enter, or arrow cluster — against a neutral base in black, white, or gray creates a focused pop of color without committing to a fully orange set. Yuzu's customization tools let you mix and match individual key colors freely.
