Go to Custom keycaps to design your own set from scratch. You choose every detail: the profile, colors, legends, and kit contents. Once satisfied, add to cart and check out. Custom sets are made to order with no minimum quantity.
Keycap sets are pre-designed themed sets you can personalize. Browse the catalog, choose a set, pick your kit size and keycap profile, then add to cart. The design itself is fixed, but the profile and kit selection let you tailor the set to your board.
Keycap sets are pre-designed sets created by artists and the Yuzu community. You pick the set, the kit size, and the profile. Custom keycaps are fully custom: you design every key from scratch using the guided Builder or the Playground editor, choosing your own colors, legends, and profile. Both are printed to order within 9 working days; custom sets add a photo approval before shipping.
Profile refers to the physical shape of the keycaps, specifically their height, curvature, and sculpt from row to row. Cherry is the most common profile: low, sculpted, and widely familiar. KAM and PFF are uniform-height alternatives with a modern feel. PBS is a taller sculpted profile popular with typists. The profile guide and the Profiler tool let you compare them visually before deciding.
Yes. Low profile keycaps are designed for Kailh Choc v2 switches (not Choc v1). They are shorter than standard MX keycaps and are not interchangeable with MX-mount boards. One important thing to check before purchasing: depending on your board and switch combination, the keycap bottom can sit close enough to the switch housing to cause rubbing or interference during travel. The low profile guide covers what to look for and how to verify compatibility with your setup.
Yes. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) layout is supported. We recommend the PFF profile for JIS boards because it carries the widest selection of spacebar sizes, which matters on JIS keyboards that use a smaller spacebar than ANSI or ISO boards.
Yes. Both ISO (common in Europe) and ANSI layouts are supported, and we offer over a dozen language legend sets including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and more. The language and layout selector lives on every product and configuration page.
The Base kit covers TKL and most common keyboard layouts. It includes all modifiers, spacebars, and extras needed for full-size through 65% boards. The Mini kit covers 60% and 65% keyboards only and is priced lower. If you have a TKL or larger board, choose Base. If you have a compact board and want to save, Mini is the right pick.
Compatibility
Yuzu keycaps use a standard MX cross-mount that fits the vast majority of mechanical keyboards, including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, and most mainstream switch brands. Make sure the kit you choose covers your keyboard's layout (TKL, 65%, 60%, etc.). For low profile switches such as Kailh Choc or Gateron LP, see the low profile keycaps guide, as those require a different mount and keycap type.
These are shorthand names for keyboard sizes based on how many keys they include relative to a full-size board (100%). A TKL (tenkeyless) drops the numpad. A 75% keeps the function row and arrow keys. A 65% drops the function row. A 60% is the most compact, with arrows and function keys accessed via a function layer. The keyboard sizes guide explains each form factor in detail.
Probably yes. Start with the Finder: it covers 650+ keyboards across all major brands and layouts, so search for yours by name or by size. If your board is not in the catalog, the Editor lets you build the layout yourself, either from scratch or by taking the closest existing layout and adding or removing keys until it matches. If you are still stuck, chat with us.
Ordering
Keycap sets start at $54 for a Mini kit, which covers 60% and 65% boards. Larger kits and the PBS profile cost more, and the exact price is shown on each set's page. Custom keycaps are priced per unit on the total u count of your set, so a standard 65% keyboard comes to around $64. The custom keycaps page lists the full per-unit tiers alongside worked examples for every common layout.
For custom keycaps, use the Builder or the Playground to design your set, then add it to your cart and check out. For keycap sets, browse the available sets, pick your kit size and profile, and add to cart. Both flows end at the same checkout. No account is required to purchase.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is processed securely through Shopify. We do not accept PayPal.
No. Once an order is placed it goes into the production queue, and we cannot change the design, the kit, or the layout. Triple-check your set before you check out: colors, legends, profile, kit size, and language. If you have already spotted a mistake, contact us immediately. If production has not started yet we can sometimes cancel the order so you can place a corrected one, but once printing begins nothing can be changed. Every set is made to order, so a change of mind is not covered.
No. There is no minimum order quantity. You can order a single set, or even a single key if your set is large enough. This is one of the core differences between Yuzu and traditional group-buy keycap makers.
Lead Times
Every set is printed to order and takes up to 9 working days to produce, weekends and factory holidays excluded. Custom sets get a photo approval step before shipping. Shipping time on top of that depends on your location. Check the status page for current production times and the factory holiday schedule.
After your custom set is printed, we photograph it and send you the photos for review before shipping. You can approve or flag any concerns. This step adds 1 to 2 days to the process but gives you a final look at your set before it leaves our hands. Most orders are approved in one round.
Keycap sets are pre-approved designs that go straight to production. They have been printed before, so the colors and legends are already proven on our machines and there is no design review or photo approval loop. Custom sets are unique by definition: nobody has printed that exact combination before, so they go through a verification step to make sure every key looks exactly the way you designed it. Both share the same 9 working day production window; the approval only adds the time it takes you to reply.

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the issue and we will make it right, whether that is a replacement, reprint, or refund depending on the situation. Every set is inspected before shipping, but if something slips through, we cover it.
Because every set is made specifically for you after you order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If you are unsure about a design, the photo approval step for custom keycaps gives you a final check before shipping. If you have doubts before ordering, chat with us. Our full return and refund policy has all the details.
We warrant every set against manufacturing defects. If a key is misprinted, wrongly sized, or otherwise defective, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we will resolve it. Wear from normal use is not covered, but dye-sublimated legends on PBT plastic are essentially permanent and should not show meaningful wear for years.
